This exceptional basket is a very rare and very hard to find basket. We found this basket in the heart of Virginia in the Valley. The paint is an exceptional robin egg blue painted exterior with the original surface interior. The basket has the great hand turned wood handle, the wood of the basket is oak. Very tight and sturdy with no damage. Very Rare in this form and large size!! There is some paint spotting on one side, although it does removes with ease and will let the buyer do what they wish. Great old basket!

A slaw board of the true PA Dutch origin of the Southeast region of Pennsylvania. The board boast the large hand cut out heart handle of the walnut wood of which does retain the exemplified aged patina of use of the 1830's. The board was found in Lancaster County, PA. The construction of the board does pertail the square nailed side flanks. A fine example of early kitchen life.

This is an exceptional circa. 1820’s pantry box. The box retains the original dry blue paint of which was original to the piece. The box has the great authentic and classic button hole loop bands of which are tight. The boxes lid has the fingered wood band attached by the copper tacks. The sides are staved and are very thick. A dough box of original paint and form, a box of Southeast Pennsylvania origin of the great Dutch region of the area. The box pretrudes the very rare and desired motifs of the tulip and urn painted panels of which adorn the front of the box of which is made of hearth pine. The box has strong handcut dovetails with hand plained wide plank lumber with hand forged square nails of which attach the handles to the canted sides. The paint declares only honest age and origin to the piece of construction for the home of circa. 1840. Patina of the worn and used inside states the age of prior validity. Very desired and Rare!

An exceptional circa. 1820 Pennsylvania dough box as found in Lancaster County with the retention of the original and untouched cranberry red painted surface. This is a very rare and hard to find dough box of the hand cut out heart handles. The box has the further construction of 1820 of the large and irregular hand cut dovetailed corners with the rose head square nailed base. The paint is as good as it gets, exceptional. The box is made of soft wood sides and base with the top being made of walnut. The boards width are 18" wide strong. True to the circa. The patina is exceptional as well. The side handles have been repaired as one can see they have been reattached. The top and sides shows hand plained wood. This is truley one of the best dough boxes offered.

The mangle board is that of original painted surface and retains the hand carved date of 1807. The piece is adorned with exceptional arays of hand carved decorations upon the top of which retain the original paint. The board has the classic horse shaped handle, with the great worn areas. An exceptional wood bowl that offers one of the best crimson painted exteriors. The paint is old and original to the piece. The patina is true and thus verifies the circa authenticity. There are no chips nor cracks in the bowl, just the worn interior used surface and thus the usual wear we like to see of the exterior. Just exceptional! Bowl is a little out of round, just like we see in this circa. Great honest paint!! Beehive turned exterior, excellent worn base.

The cheese mold is a true circa 1850’s tinware heart shaped mold of which is of a larger size than normal. The mold is that of punched tin with the punched designs into the base of the mold. The mold is footed and also has the same shaped handle. The mold is in great old and authentic 1850’s condition. No rust nor holes, just a true patina to verify the authenticity of the age.
